A great Port Hacking paddle—around 31.5 kilometres, including some kayak surfing with the River Canoe Club.
We launched at Yowie Bay, and the paddle also included some fun in the ocean swell at Jibbon Head, a swim at Bundeena and a few short portages at beautiful—but at low tide a shallow—South West Arm Creek.
Another wonderful day on the water—thanks very much to John Ward for leading the paddle.
Michael Eckhart writes: John Ward gave us a steely-eyed stare: “We paddled thirty kilometres a couple of weeks ago at Jervis Bay. Let’s do thirty kilometres today in Port Hacking”. Challenge made. Challenge accepted.
