Explore Middle Harbour
This paddle trip is suited for beginners. This is a gentle meander exploring Middle Harbour Creek in Garigal National Park, with its tributaries Rockey, Caroll, Moores & Gordon Creeks. The whole trip is only around a lazy 12k, in and out of side creeks up to their short paddling limit. Each ends differently – tidal limit, impassable rocks, or a fallen tree log.
Meet at 12.30 and be ready for 1 pm on the water. Return around 4. Bring drinking water, nibbles. I’ll be having a picnic lunch before the trip.
Getting there: Davidson Park is about 45 minutes from the RCC clubhouse over the Harbour Bridge. The last part of the drive on Warringah Road is a bit tricky – coming from the south cross Roseville Bridge, up the hill turn left into Arthur St, do a U-turn and drive in the furthest left lane back down towards the bridge. At the water don’t go to the boat ramp and kayak steps, swing right instead and drive past the toilets to the far end near the enclosed swimming net area.
Club Kayaks will be available for this event, see ticket options.
However pickup and transportation of the kayak to and from the event will need to be arranged by the participant.
