Explore the beautiful waterways of western Sydney
You might have paddled on the Georges River but have you ever wanted to know what the Georges River looks like upriver of Liverpool Weir? On Saturday, 5 October the Club is heading to find out!
We’ll be exploring the upper reaches of the Georges River. Expect to find secluded beaches, beautiful forests and a whole stretch of Sydney you never knew about. A great way to kick off the long weekend!

Monday: Cooks River and Botany Bay
Enjoy a coffee on beautiful Brighton-le-Sands Beach
Keen for an extended Public Holiday Monday paddle? On Monday, 7 October, the Clun will be heading out on the Cooks River Paddle Trail and out into Botany Bay for an extended paddle.
To join this outing, RSVP via EventBrite. Numbers are limited to 15 paddlers.

2024 Photo Competition Winners
Thanks to all those who participated in the first 2024 River Canoe Club Photo Competition. A big thank-you to goes to Jo Meader and Lisa Gladstone for pulling it together. Also, a big thank-you to the generous paddling organisations that provide the prizes for the

Stephanie has been a member of the Club since 2020 and has frequented the weekly paddles from the Clubhouse, Friday mornings with the core Friday core paddling group, and out on the Harbour.

For those who don’t know Petri, he has been with River Canoe Club since 2015, so coming up to ten years with the Club and been on many trips away with the Club including the recent March 2024 Kangaroo Valley trip.

We have an active Club calendar, with regular events throughout the year. We explore waterways around Sydney and regularly head further throughout New South Wales and beyond for weekends and extended weeks away. Club events include flatwater, whitewater and open water; day-trips and camping trips; kayaking, canoeing and whitewater playboats; rivers, lakes, bays and open water.
