Friday Morning Slider

Extended trip of the regular fitness paddle for more experienced paddlers – meet at 7am. 
About this event

As it is a public holiday this paddle is an extended trip based on the regular Friday morning fitness paddle. Be at the clubhouse by 7am to be on the water by 7:20. Aim is to paddle to Brighton LeSands for coffee and muffins, then on to Towra Point. Probably be back at the Clubhouse by 12 noon depending on conditions and how long we snack and explore for.

It is intended for regular/experienced paddlers, with a view to being able to get out on the water reasonably promptly – being able to set up own sea kayak, wet exit and be confident in the water etc.

So if you’re new to the club, would suggest coming down to a Saturday morning or Wednesday evening skills session first. With the fitness paddles, to provide you an indication, typical paddling speeds are around 7km/h sustained for approx 1 hr.
