Xmas Night Paddle –  Wednesday 20th December from RCC Clubhouse

Lets decorate the kayaks and canoes with strings of Xmas lights and paddle either up the Cooks River, or out into Botany Bay.  Direction will depend on the weather and wind. High Tide is at c. 15:25.

18:00  Attach lights to kayaks and canoes

18:30  On the Water. (c. 5 km to Canterbury Rd = 1 to 1.25 hours)

19:30 Stop for a picnic tea/snack? (Suggestions)

20:00 Turn on lights and paddle back to club house

20:04 Sunset

21:00Remove lights, wash kayaks etc

Bring:   Battery powered lights (solar powered Xmas light strings available from Kmart from $12, Bunnings, Big W) to attach to your craft.

Twist ties to wire lights onto deck lines. Ziplock back to store battery box.

Head torch

Other waterproof torches that can go in the hold of your boat to illuminate the hull.
