This is a paddle from the club house into Botany bay to practice rescue skills. It is aimed at intermediate or experienced paddlers wishing to practice their self-rescue and assisted rescue skills. This paddle is NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINEERS. It is particulaly useful for emerging paddle leaders and anyone wishing to participate in open water paddles (such as Hinchinbrook Island).
To participate in this paddle you must be able to paddle 15km at 6km. It is intended to paddle into Botany Bay for the practice. Forecast swell and winds will make for fun, safe, and realistic rescue practice session in the shallow water along a suitable quiet stretch of beach.
