Botany Bay Explorer
This event is open to River Canoe Club members and we welcome members of other affiliated PaddleNSW clubs.
We will meet at the RCC Clubhouse at Tempe at 9am and aim to be on the water by 9:30am.
The plan is to paddle down to Botany Bay and then follow the shoreline right the way down past Brighton, Monterey and Ramsgate through to Dolls Point. Depending on weather, interest and time, we can then cross Georges River and head to Towra Beach for a swim and lunch. For those especially keen we could continue exploring Towra Ponit and even head over to Kurnell.
It will be a solid day on the water so some experience of 15-20km paddles is desirable along with some experience out on open water such as the bay.
The plan is to be flexible so if you need to head back at Dolls Point that’s totally OK as well.
The forecast is 25C and 15km south westerly breezes at 9am increasing to 25km easterly by 3pm a should be a great day on the water but perhaps a bit of a breeze on the way back.
