ANZAC DAY PADDLE – AUDLEY TO BONNIEVALE RETURN

Join us for a superb day paddle on the stunning tidal waters of Port Hacking, starting and finishing at Reid’s Flat, Audley. This rewarding journey blends relaxed cruising with classic National Park scenery.

Our route takes us to Simpsons Bay, where we’ll stop for a leisurely lunch at Bonnievale — a perfect spot to unwind, refuel, and soak up the surroundings. Depending on group energy and conditions, we may even sneak into a few peaceful creeks along the way for some extra exploration.

The full paddle covers approximately 23 kilometres, but the conditions are forecast to be on our side. With the assistance of the tide — particularly on the return leg — and the possibility of a gentle following breeze, this trip offers a satisfying distance without feeling like a slog.

What You’ll Need

This trip is suited to paddlers who are comfortable and confident on the water. To join in, you should be able to:

  • Perform a wet exit
  • Tread water confidently
  • Paddle 20 km at an average speed of around 6 km/h

Good to Know

  • The launch point is within the Royal National Park, so standard park entry fees apply.
  • Club boats are available to members; however, participants will need collet and return this themselves and organise their own transport.

You must be registered to participate in this paddle. Registrations close at 4pm on Friday 24 April – Register here: https://paddleaustralia.justgo.com/workbench/public/events?ref=AC624BE19DD1CCFC3D2CF242279C0F382307302A
