Pittwater Sydney

- To give a sense of scale, Pittwater is approx 15km north to south. A typical day out paddling therefore is around 20-30km – can scale up or down.
- Good spots to launch: McCarr’s Creek (southern end of Pittwater).
- Nice spots to stop at: Clareville Beach (friendly but busy swimming beach), the Basin (overnight camping), Church Point (coffee/food).
- Classic routes: McCarr’s Creek to Resolute Beach return (approx 22km total).
- A longer one-way paddle (if conditions suitable, requires car-shuffle) – is a McCarr’s Creek to West Head and then onto Akuna Bay.
- Worth-mentioning : There can be lots of yachts racing, particular summer months. Also, swell can make it into the top of Pittwater – depending on direction.
