An opportunity to get away. Trip planning now underway – if keen to get involved, get in touch. Currently looking at Myall Lakes – so approx-3hrs north of Sydney.
A few things to note:
- It’s a great place to paddle – so many opportunities. It’s a place of many moods.. depending on the weather.
- It will be May, so Autumn. The weather gods can be really kind. They can also be in a mixed mood.
- We shall be camping – we understand if that’s not for you.
- There will likely be two primary options:
1. Remote area camping – packing up the kayaks and heading into wilderness.
2. Base/car camping – so having the convenience and comfort of everything with you.With both options, the intent is to be up there by the Friday evening, then everybody having the potential for full day on the water Saturday and also Sunday morning. Optional add-ons will be a friday day paddle and also staying up Sunday night, returning Monday.
Initial expressions of interest now Open! (particularly for those happy to help out with some organising..) To express interest, please pop your name in the trip master doc.
Formal registrations in due course… a link will be shared to the event management platform in due course. We’ll likely be trialling the use of JustGo platform.

Please note: More details being worked out by those kindly organising. Over the next week or so, we’ll look to lock in general numbers and a plan, so can then.. people can make camping reservations etc.
