Audley to Simpson’s Bay Return
This day trip is on the tidal waters of Port Hacking starting and ending at Reid’s Flat, Audley. The group will paddle to Simpsons Bay for a relaxed break before returning. Depending on the paddling group and conditions, some creeks may be explored enroute. The total distance will be around 23km, however the tide will assist in both directions. A moderate and following wind on the return leg should provide additional support.
To participate in this paddle, you must be able to wet-exit and be confident in treading water. You must be able to paddle 20km at a speed of 6km/hr. Suitable boats are seakayak of 4.3m or longer or canoes.
Note. The start of this paddle is in the Royal National Park and park charges apply.
Club boats can be used but paddlers will need to arrange their own transport (including the boat) to and from the venue.
