Barrington River

Whitewater Paddling is a dangerous activity that should only be undertaken in groups with proper training, and competencies.

The Barrington River is about 4 hours north of Sydney. It has several whitewater sections from grade 1 through to grade 3. It runs from Barrington Tops NP towards Barrington. The Waterways Guide has information specific sections including grades and current river heights.

The river is generally narrow and can be subject to tree hazards.  It runs through rolling hills making it a very pretty paddle.  Many of the rapids end in pools that make them great for skills practice and fun.
