Cooks River Paddle Trail is a 25km network of rivers, canals and bays in the heart of Sydney.

The paddle trail now has it’s own dedicate website – check it out at cooksriverpaddletrail.au

Cook River Paddle Trail connects the Cooks River Valley and the Wolli Creek Valley with Botany Bay, offering a picturesque and rewarding environment for canoeing, kayaking and rowing, ideally suited to beginner and intermediate paddlers, as well as the more advanced. You can leisurely paddle amongst mangroves along Wolli Creek, try a beach landing on Botany Bay or test yourself along the broad reaches of the Cooks River.

The River Canoe Club in Tempe sits at the centre of the Cooks River Paddle Trail and is an ideal starting point for exploring the trail, but you can also join the trail at Hurlstone Park, Kyeemagh and Turella, as well as many points along the Botany Bay foreshore. Many parks and beaches along the trail offer great picnic spots, as well as amenities such as cafes and public toilets.

Cooks River Paddle Trail is one of many ways you can discover this hidden gem of inner Sydney—you can also explore the area by bicycle on the Cooks River Path, as well as on foot on the Two Valleys Trail, both of which run alongside much of the Paddle Trail.
