The Spring 2022 Whitewater Paddle Safari Week (Grade 2 focus) is a week-long trip starting over the October Labour Day long weekend (Saturday 1 October to Sunday 9 October 2022). This year with La Niña conditions and wet ground there is good chance of spring runoff from rainfall. For this year a safari focus will be on Grade 2 whitewater
In light of the feedback that most people probably wanting to do to the 2022 whitewater safari might not yet be ready for overnight grade 2 trips I am changing the safari to day paddles doing the following river sections which are all grade 1-2. This year presents a good chance of there being water in those river sections but lets hope with LaNina weather that there is not too much water. Any harder rapid or section of concern that is encountered could be portaged. The attached broad scale map shows the locations. The safari is aiming to paddle sections which have not been done much in recent years and does not have huge driving distances between. Each section will be a day or part day trip.
