Come and explore the Georges River on a daytrip this coming Saturday, 4 June 2022. The plan is to launch from Revesby Beach at Revesby Heights and paddle either down towards Como for lunch before returning — or up towards East Hills (if we want to go with the tides). Side trips might include Salt Pan Creek and also potentially heading back upriver towards East Hills. Total distance planned is 16-20km, meeting at 9am to be on the water by 9.30am and finishing around 3pm. John Ward is putting together a float plan. You can hire Club boats for this outing or bring your own, but you’ll need your own transport for the boat. The outing is intended for Club members (annual or trial) that have done the Beginners Course or have equivalent skills with wet exits and boat control. Swimming skills are mandatory for this outing. This outing is great for less experienced paddlers looking to spend for time out on the water, as well as more experienced paddlers looking to explore somewhere new (and with the potential for additional side-trips for a longer outing).
